Description	Aerial view of Woodburn, Maumee Township, Allen County, Indiana, about 1947. The picture was taken from the top of the newly-erected slipform concrete grain storage tanks built by the Woodburn Equity Exchange, facing east-southeast. The white house with the small white wash-house behind was the home of Ralph C. Portman, and the open property to its side was regularly ploughed, planted, cultivated, and harvested just as any farm land by its owner, Carl Knoblauch. The wooden Lutheran church with its bell tower and steeple is at the upper right. It was soon replaced with the current larger Lutheran church building.
